Debut novel for Benalla authors

By Nicola Ceccato

Three Goulburn Valley Libraries will host two authors from the region as they debut their first novel.

Benalla locals Benny Charles and Alex Robinson are debuting their first novel of what will be the start of their Children of the Aether series.

The novel, The Phoenix and the Spider, follows the story of Theo, who, for as long as she can remember, has been haunted by the Phoenix and the Spider in her dreams, but she doesn’t know why.

Within these visions lie secrets of a past that spans countless lifetimes, each filled with love, death and

untold power waiting to be reawakened.

Theo needs to get to the bottom of these visions before she’s doomed to the same cruel fate that has followed her for millennia.

When they’re not writing MrCharles works as a bar manager and is an avid fan of film, music, literature and video games, while Ms Robinson is passionate about travel and spends her time as a pastry chef.

They will visit three libraries, including Cobram library on Thursday, December 7.

If you’re a fan of fantasy fiction or want to hear about their experiences co-writing a novel, join them for one of their sessions.

To book your spot, contact Goulburn Valley Libraries on 1300 374 765 or email shepparton@gvlibraries.com.au

Copies of the book will be available for purchase at each event.
