Man hurt in Hume crash

A 31-year-old Cobram man was taken to hospital under police guard following a collision on the Hume Fwy at Violet Town on Thursday, November 23.

Police responded to reports of a crash at Violet Town just before 11am.

Officers were told a silver

Mazda SUV collided with a truck on the Hume Fwy, lost control and rolled.

The driver was seen running from the scene into a nearby paddock when police arrived.

With the assistance of the Air Wing the Cobram man was located.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
