Governor’s flying visit to aviation museum

NSW Governor Margaret Beazley and her husband, Dennis Wilson, visited Corowa, Tocumwal, Finley and Deniliquin last week.

“Dennis and I are excited to be visiting this beautiful part of the Riverina to meet locals, hear about local developments and achievements, and experience the history, culture and sense of community that makes this area so special,” she said.

On Thursday, November 23, the governor stopped by the Tocumwal Aviation Museum to tour the facilities.

Museum founder and owner Matt Henderson said hosting the governor was a privilege.

“It was an honour to have her come visit the museum,” he said.

“The staff that was here at the time said she was appreciative of our efforts to put this museum together.

“It’s good exposure to have someone in her position choose here as a location to visit on her tour.”

The visit was part of the governor’s commitment to undertake one regional visit per month to further engage with NSW’s communities.
